A few useful things to know.

What is ExportDat?

ExportDat turns supported social media posts, videos and podcasts into content your AI can actually work with. It retrieves available text, images, captions and transcripts so you can discuss them in Claude or ChatGPT, or use the data in your own applications.

How does ExportDat work?

Just share a supported link with your connected AI assistant. ExportDat retrieves the available content and passes it into your conversation, so you can ask questions, explore ideas and put the content to work.

Does ExportDat work with ChatGPT and Claude?

ExportDat has been tested with Claude through MCP, and we're preparing the hosted connection for both Claude and ChatGPT. Availability will depend on your AI account and supported connector settings.

Which platforms does ExportDat support?

We're building support for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and podcasts. Coverage varies by platform and content type, and some links may return only partial information. We'll keep our supported-format information up to date as reliability improves.

Can developers use ExportDat through an API?

Yes. ExportDat has a REST API designed to return structured content from supported URLs. Developers can use it for research agents, content workflows, enrichment and other AI applications, subject to applicable source permissions.

How much does ExportDat cost?

We're working towards simple link-based pricing rather than complicated token calculations. Final plans and allowances haven't been announced yet.

More questions
Can ExportDat understand images and videos?

ExportDat can retrieve available images, video frames, captions and speech transcripts. Your connected AI can then help interpret that content. Some visual details or spoken information may be missing or imperfect.

Do I need to download or install anything?

For the hosted MCP, the intended experience is simply connecting ExportDat to your compatible AI assistant. The remote connection is being prepared, so setup requirements will be confirmed when access opens.

Can I use ExportDat for sales prospecting?

ExportDat can help extract available context from supported social posts for prospect research and outreach workflows. Automated commercial use depends on appropriate data-access permissions, accuracy checks and compliance with applicable requirements.

Will ExportDat work with every link?

Not yet. Some platforms restrict access, and some content may be private, unavailable or only partially retrievable. ExportDat reports missing content and uncertainty rather than pretending an extraction is complete.
